Ceremony of the Night

The lust for life is burning
My journey through the night
A ceremony in sacred peace
I walk the land that suffocates in velvet haze
This is my spiritual nourishment
I repel new visions to no avail
They tear me apart, they pursue me
There is no escape for me
Breaker waves of pipe organ massifs rattle my head
One person’s shadow under the Moon
Disappears in the flesh of time
Crystals of the night rustle against the leaves
I hear the Requiem for this world
Human fate meanders like in a floodplain
Solitude is a cleansing wellspring
At that very time freed from the chains of living
Freed from the weeping of human misery
Under the starry dome
I see something shining in the distance
I walk towards the light
It’s her –
The lust for life.

Journey of the Eyes
13:11
|
|||
the inspiration is outside
where strong winds blow
and clouds stampede
through spring’s hazy horizons
a storm is brewing
windbreaks of the spirit shiver
evenings of my father
in the lee of the room
he has all the seasons
four of them in a single day
though I don‘t know which one is when
I want to share them
the tiny old man‘s heart
beats towards mine
this granddaddy is a daughter
just ten days old
she‘s cradled in our arms today
she‘s drank a lot and she‘s still bald
her eyes are blue, but one day
they may turn brown

Carried and devoured by white and black darkness
On death marches through distant woods
Amidst eternity, towards fair morrows
Rapt in moments yet alive
Filled with forest master’s deep sorrow
A couple of tears and a spellbinding smile
Resounding the strings
Carried and devoured by white and black darkness
Imbiled by the tinted bodies of water
Slowly entering the forest horizon
Three sailships carried by waves of the hills, the breakers of Brdy,
Three souls drinking in the colossal sclera on their graceful journey
Triunity of parched throats
Carried and devoured by white a nd black darkness
They behold the silver gleam of the Cinnamon village
The piercing evening star, the stabbing centrepiece
In the haze of evening half-light
To drink in yet more, to drown in that sea for a while more –
Black asphalt robes creep in silently
The village promenades embrace their steps.
Carried and devoured by white and black darkness
The truth of my demise is written in the world’s mind
Of me without me knowing, with final validity
For all the time that my heart beats with hot blood
I go through pain
I go through joy
I go through the joy of pain.
Carried and devoured by white and black darkness
Suffering and touches of eternity
Such is the wordly mission
Such is the invitation to the kindly times.
Carried and devoured by white and black darkness
In the deepest woods on a march to death
I go through the joy of pain.
